What's In a Name

The name “Trudy” was adopted in memory of Gertrude Gilliard, whose nickname was “Trudy” to all who knew her. Trudy called Savannah, Georgia home throughout her long life and was famous for her delicious southern cooking. Every year she baked scrumptious winter holiday cookies and shared them with family and friends. Trudy handed off her recipes to her son, Gary, and he has been baking these annual cookies since 1990, proudly continuing the family tradition of gifting them to family and friends.
