Mountain Rural Philanthropy Days

The National Mining Hall of Fame
Leadville, June 4 – 6 2007

Open to Nonprofit Organizations in Eagle, Garfield, Lake Pitkin and Summit Counties only

Since the early 1990s, the Community Recourse Center (CRC) and the Anschutz Family Foundation, in partnership with Colorado Foundations and local steering committees throughout the eight rural regions of Colorado, have worked hand-in-hand to produce Rural Philanthropy Days.

This event seeks to:

  • Increase the number of grants and the total dollar amount of grants that are made to nonprofit organizations in your counties;
  • Improve regional collaboration among nonprofit organizations and the nonprofit, for-profit and government sectors;
  • Increase the capacity of local nonprofits to serve their communities more effectively and efficiently;

Held only once every four years in the Mountain Region, Leadville has been selected to host this years event.

If your organization has not signed up, you may be missing an opportunity to generate additional dollars for your programs and services! There is a mandatory Pre Event Training designed to assist nonprofits in making the most of Rural Philanthropy Days.

Event Activities for Nonprofits include:

  • Presentations and discussions with funders about the region’s current needs.
  • Roundtable discussions where funders and nonprofits exchange information.
  • Social activities and dining events for informal networking.
